Born in the beautiful city of Prague, Tomas Vojtek was introduced to photography by his father, an amateur photographer. The first cameras he ever used were EXA and FLEXARET, both made in Eastern Europe.

Growing up in a communist country without ability to travel, Tomas often found himself dreaming about the rest of the world. By the end of the 1980's, with help from friends in Germany, he was able to start his life-long journey around the world. The first stop was Oberbillig, in Germany, where he had his first taste of the western world. Two years later, he was on a plane to New York City. After living in San Francisco and Chicago, Tomas finally landed in Denver, Colorado in 1993.

He has studied photography with the great teacher and photographer, Ron Wohlauer. In recent years, Tomas enjoys the challenges of many different types of photography, ranging from nature to documentary to real estate to sporting events. Tomas finds himself at home in many locales all over the world and he invites you to explore it with him through his dynamic photographs.
